Abstract: | The q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets are attracting the interest of a growing number of experts as they provide a formal setting with a broad space of acceptable orthopairs, which guarantees more flexibility and accuracy of the results. The most dominant fac tor of q-rung orthopair fuzzy set is that the sum of q th power of membership grade and the q th power of non-membership grade should not exceed 1 that broadens the space of ambiguous data. The decision experts can convey their information more effectively by using q-rung orthopair fuzzy set than Pythagorean fuzzy set. The combination of q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers with multi-criteria decision-making methods can provide valuable techniques because one can characterize highly complex scenarios in a more authentic way. The q-rung orthopair fuzzy PROMETHEE technique is pre sented by combining the capabilities of q-rung orthopair fuzzy information and the reliability of the PROMETHEE method in order to state and solve decision-making problems that allow for fuzziness and imprecision in the ample range of generalized or thopair fuzzy information. This extension of the PROMETHEE method uses q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers to render the ratings of alternatives, which allows decision experts to express the uncertain and vague information more accurately. The usual criterion preference function has been used to measure the preferences of the alter xiv natives based on all criteria that simplify the computations of numerical problems and works on the formula “the more the better”. Different versions of PROMETHEE technique not only provide the kernel solution of decision problem (PROMETHEE I), but also provide the ranking of feasible actions or alternatives (PROMETHEE II). The q-rung picture fuzzy set is an accomplished extension of q-rung orthopair fuzzy set and picture fuzzy set due to the neutral part of inexact human opinion and the existence of an adjustable parameter q. The innovative and modified versions of VIKOR and TOPSIS techniques are presented for obtaining the compromise results and rankings of alternatives in decision-making problems with the help of two dif ferent point-scales of linguistic variables. The presented methodologies are practiced to solve the real-world problems that show the applicability of the proposed work. The comparative results of the proposed techniques with existing methods are also presented to show their effectiveness and accuracy. |
