At the second stage, keeping in view demographic variables of subjects were also considered equally important. The sample consisted of 262 (Male) and 80 (Female) in total 362 M.Phil. (Education) students. For the purpose of collection of data the researcher explored this relationship by adopting Self-Esteem Scale, Perceived Stress Scale, Body Mass Index and Academic performance by taking students results. Findings of the study revealed that there exists a weak relationship between academic performance and perceived stress. It is concluded that there is also a weak relationship between academic performance and BMI. It is concluded that there exists a moderate association between academic performance and Self-Esteem has. It is concluded that the association between the Perceived Stress Scale and Body Mass Index is a weak association. There are few limitations of this study within which the findings of this study need to be interpreted carefully while citing the reference of this study. The results of this study may not be generalizable at all levels as this study was done at M.Phil. level. Due to the time limitation, private sector universities could not be included in this study. The researcher also faced difficulties while collecting data from universities situated in other cities from female respondents due to social and cultural issues. It is recommended that similar studies should be done at doctoral level also. Universities should make efforts to minimize stress on students by encouraging them and increase self-esteem of the students so that students‘ academic performance may be enhanced.
