Abstract: Capitalism and Socialism were rival systems of economics working Pararally in the world. These both systems of economics were trying to dominate each other. The later system was collapsed in the last century. The labour was a contentious element in both systems. The socialism was blaming capitalism for exploiting the laobur. Therefore, it declared its sympathetic sentiments to the labour class. This system attracted the labour class of the world. The only solution for labour problems in this system was proposed to eliminate the private ownership. So that to make free the labour class from the brutal clutches of the capitalists. All the means of production were placed in hands of society in the form of state. Simply explaining this system, we may say that socialism has taken the means of production from different hands and put them into single hand named “state”. Socialism was first time in history experienced in Russia in 1917 by the Lenin Government. Unfortunately this system has taken 70 years from the history but remained failed to relieve the labour class. Both economic systems have not solved the labour problems in the world but they enhanced these problems. On the contrary, Islam has the solution for the labour problems but unfortunately Mulsim Ummah has not opted its own economic systems and was economically divided in the economic systems mentioned above. Islamic economic principles, of course are too much beautiful and relieving one for economic disparity but unfortunately these principles are unimplemented in Muslim world. Therefore the labour class were dishearten for not finding their solution on part of Islamic world. In the meantime, International labour organization (ILO) has passed several labour conventions and recommendations to solve the labour problems in the world. But as it is clarified from the different reports of experts committee of ILO, that ratifying states have not fully implemented labour conventions in their countries. It means that labour problems have remained unsolved throughout history. Therefore, it was necessary to identify basic labour problem and than to take research on it. The basic labour problem is that labourer has not received his share of labour in the wealth. This study has comparatively undertaken in Islamic fiqh and labour laws to see into this problem. This study has been taken into four Chapters. VI I. The first Chapter describes what is the share of labour in the wealth given to labourers in capitalism, socialism and Islamic economic systems? II. The Second Chapter purely study the principles of wages in Islamic Fiqh. III. The third Chapter purely study the principles and laws of wages in ILO wages conventions and in Pakistan labour laws. IV. The fourth Chapter presents the comparison between Islamic Fiqh and contemporary labour laws and ILO wages conventions as regard to labour and wages concluding similarities and differences. At the end, the recommendations have been included on the basis of conducting this research.
