Abstract

The literary and research work of Muslim scholars on Quran and Sunnah is really commendable in the Subcontinent. They impart their precious services for spreading and publicizing of different sciences and arts on this land. Allama Ghulam Rasool Saeedi is one of the biggest names among the unique and matchless personalities who have rendered their services in the field of ‛Tafseer‚ and ‛Ilm e Hadith‚. He has arranged a lofty book with the title ‛Nimat ul Bari fi Sharah Al Sahih Al Bukari‚. This book has achieved a peculiar place among all the ‛Sharoh of Al Sahih Al Bukhari‚ in Urdu language. In the research work, ‛A criticism on ‛Sharheen-e-Hadith‚ in ‛Nimat-ul-Bari‚ and an analytical study‚, the methodology and style of the writer have been reviewed. Particularly, in this ‛Sharah‚, the well-known ‛sharheen‚ have been cross examined along with solutions settled by them. In which, Hafiz Abn-e-Hajar Asqalani, Allma Badr-ud Din Aaini, Allama Ibn-e-Bataal Malki, Allama Ibn-e-Malaqqan Shafai, Allama Muhammad Salih Aaismeen have been criticized and the later ‛Sharheen‚ as well. The topics which have been criticized are ‛Taharat’’ physical purgation, Ibadaat‚ worshiping, ‛Muaamlaat‚ dealings, general issues, and principles of Hadith along with ‛Muhaakmaat‚ analysis of ‛sharheen‚ have been described. After reading this ‛Sharah‚ between the lines, it is found that it’s a specialty of this ‛Sharah‚ that to accept or reject the point of view of the opponents with intellectual and referential arguments has been described in well civilized and sophisticated style after examining the opinions from ancient and modern ‛fuqaha‚ and ‛Sharheen‚. The four schools of thought and the preference of Hanafi school of thought with arguments have been proved in detail beautifully.
