Nature of the study was descriptive and quantitative research design was followed. The main objectives of the studies were; To know the perceptions of trained teachers about the ECCE Teacher training program; To find out the effect of ECCE teacher‟s training program on the instructional performance of teachers; To identify the hurdles faced by ECCE Teacher during teaching learning process. Nature of the study was descriptive and quantitative research was followed. The study population was comprised of 670 schools for boys in 11 circles of district Peshawar (Education Management Information System “EMIS”, 2015-16 Report). The target population of this study was only those primary school teachers (PSTs) of the public sector in District Peshawar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who got training on ECCE by PITE in 2015-2016. The numbers of ECCE trained male teachers working in these targeted schools were 321. After rationalizing the population (321 ECCE trained male PSTs of District Peshawar) through Raosoft sample size calculation or by Krejcie and Morgan 1970 table, the sample size of the study was 175 male PSTs. In this study simple random sampling was used for data collection as this technique is the most suitable one. A questionnaire was designed following the five points Likert Scale based on Kirkpatrick‟s model of training evaluation, as it is a very effective tool for any kind training evaluation, particularly when the researchers wanted to assess the viii effectiveness of the training. The questionnaires were distributed among ECCE trained teachers and after a couple of weeks the researcher collected these filled questionnaires. SPSS version 16was applied on the primary data and the researcher also used chi-square test for analysis. Inferential statistics was used on the collected data that was tabulated, analyzed and interpreted. The results of the findings showed that teacher training, training session content, training evaluation and hurdles in teacher learning are showing positive and significant effects on the training effectiveness.
