Abstract: The Qur'an is the basic source of Islamic knowledge. It has been revealed on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for a period of about twenty three years. In his life the Prophet (SAW) himself informed the meaning of the words and verses of the Qur'an. After his life the companions of the Prophet continued their efforts to understand the Quran. It is to state that the Qur'an has been guiding mankind fot centeries. The Qur'an teaches us how to lead a perfect life. Thus Qur'an takes us to the right path. Millions of people continued to write the explanations and interpretations of the Qur'an till our day. The current thesis reviews briefly the literature on the translations of the Qur'an made by Mufti Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Qadri and his counterparts. Thus, this study tried to provide insight into the understanding of the Qur'an. The study focuses on the four translations. They are: Umdatul Bayan, Zubdatul Bayan, Balaghul Qur'an and Maani al Qur'an. The study deals with the figurative, stylistic, linguistic and theoretical aspects. The study style of the Quran throws light on “Ilmul Maani'' "Ilmul Bayan" and” Ilmul Badii". Further of the Qur’anic translations are compared in their grammatical sense. Which of the translations is best? In our idea the translation of Mufti Dr. Ghulam Sarwar Qadri is the best in many connections.
