Abstract: The purpose of the current study was to compare and to have relationship of professional attitude, professional autonomy and professional pride with job performance of physical education teachers working at college level. The study objectives were to check the relationship of professional attitude, professional autonomy and professional pride with job performance, the effect of professional attitude, professional autonomy and professional pride with job performance and to quantify the mean difference of demographic variable affecting professional attitude, professional autonomy, professional pride and job performance of physical education teachers working at college level. The study had finite population of n=223 (males=139; females=84). The quantitative method was used with descriptive research design and the cross sectional approach was adopted. Likert type scale having 67 items was used in the study, which was properly piloted by 30 teachers of physical education at college level. By the use of an automated online platform and physically visiting, survey information was collected and all responses remained confidential. The demographic attributes were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while inferential statistics were applied to test the set hypotheses of the study. Findings of the study revealed that all the variables are significantly correlated at significant level of 0.05. This significant correlation shows that increase in professional attitude, professional autonomy and professional pride can enhance the job performance of teachers in health and physical education. Other finding included significant differences of professional factors upon job performance of teachers (p < .05). Additionally, the p values for all the variables are lesser than the standard value (p < 0.05) hence, homogeneity of variances assumed. Likewise, there exist variances among teachers in health and physical education in their responses towards professional attitude, professional autonomy, professional pride and job performance based on their localities (urban vs rural) and colleges (federal vs provincial) (p < 0.05). The analyzed data indicated significant differences among teachers having different qualifications and marital status in respect of professional attitude, professional autonomy, professional pride and job performance (p < 0.05). A significant difference has been found in the responses of teachers in health and physical education towards professional attitude, professional autonomy, professional pride and job performance based on their designations (p < 0.05). It is essential that professional attitude, pride and autonomy might be ensured among teachers to enhance their job performance. The findings may lead to the provision of conducive environment where teacher can perform in an efficient and effective manner. More research in this field is required to develop and promote to enhance the job performance of physical education teachers to develop good professionals.
