Abstract: Allah has sent down the Quran and Hadith and is the real guardian and protector of these to avoid any change. He has adopted different methods of protection. One of them is the Society or bodies of the Qura who served the “Holy Quran and Hadith”. The objectives of this study is to 1. Highlight the services of the Quras in respect of Hadith 2. The status and level of these Quras’ in the scholarship of Hadith 3. The level of their Hadith 4. Explore the extent to which their Hadith have been utilized There are at least thirty Quras who are authority in recitation, styles and narrations. They are called as “Qura Saba Ashra” “ورشعہ ہعبس .“They are ten “Imams” each with two pupils’. The services of these “Quras” have been mentioned in the following eleven books of Ahadith. “Jawame”: “Bukhari, Muslim, al-Tirmidhi” “Sunan”: “Abu Dawud,, al-Nasai, Ibn Majah, and Sunan al-Kubra” “Masaneed”: “Al-Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Musnad Abu Ya`la al-Mawsili”. Besides these “Books of Ahadith”, these “Ahadith” have been searched in other “books of Ahadith” also such as “Al-Mujem Al-Kabeer”, “Al-Osat” and “Al-Sageer” & “Al Mustadrik” etc. The “Grade” of these Quras has been explained by “Muhadithin” as follows. “Thiqa” =Five Imam and Four pupils “Sadooq” = Five Imam and Seven pupils “Weak” = no Imam and two reporters “Silence” = Four Ravis as there is no “hadith” reported from them. This report determined there “religious and scholarly” authenticity. It also proves that all the Qura are not weak reporters. Only two of them are weak. The narrations of these Saba and Ashra “ ع سي ةورشعة “ Qura are confined in reporting the Holy Quran and every part of fiqh whether it is related to Aqaid (Islam, Eman, Tauheed o Risallat (Oneness of Allah, and Prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad) or worships (Salat, Som, Haj, Zakat etc.) or dealings (Nikah, Divorce, transactions etc.) or ethics (piety, righteousness, goodness of character, and virtues etc.)
